Tagger.click is a first-party attribution platform that recovers conversion data lost to browser privacy restrictions. It captures click data on the advertiser's own domain, matches it to sales platform webhooks, and closes the attribution loop for ad network optimization.
1. What is Tagger?
Tagger.click is a first-party attribution and conversion dispatch platform designed for paid traffic affiliates and advertisers.
Modern browser privacy features — AdBlockers, Safari Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP), and iOS 14+ App Tracking Transparency — block third-party pixels and limit cookie lifetimes. For affiliates running Google Ads campaigns, this means up to 50% of conversions are never reported back to the ad network. Without accurate conversion data, Smart Bidding cannot optimize effectively, leading to higher CPAs and wasted ad spend.
Tagger solves this by operating as first-party infrastructure on the advertiser's own domain. Click data is captured server-side, immune to ad blockers. When the sales platform reports a conversion via webhook, Tagger matches it back to the original click and sends the conversion signal to the ad network.
2. How It Works
2.1 Click Capture
A lightweight tracking script (tagger.js, <5kb) is added to the advertiser's presell page. It captures click IDs (gclid, fbclid, ttclid), UTM parameters, and device signals. The script uses no cookies, no localStorage, and runs in fail-safe mode — the presell page is never affected by any internal error.
Because the script is served from the advertiser's own domain (via CNAME), it is a first-party resource — invisible to ad blockers and compliant with browser privacy restrictions.
2.2 Conversion Matching
When a sales platform (Hotmart, ClickBank, etc.) fires a purchase webhook, Tagger's matching engine correlates it to the original click using four layers:
- Tracking ID — exact match on unique identifier (85-90% of conversions)
- Click ID — exact match on gclid/fbclid/ttclid (5-7%)
- Fuzzy 5-minute window — IP hash + User-Agent hash (3-5%)
- Fuzzy 15-minute window — IP hash + User-Agent hash (1-2%)
Combined match rate: 94-99% of all conversions.
2.3 Conversion Dispatch
Once matched, the conversion is dispatched to the ad network with the correct click ID. Tagger supports three ad networks:
- Google Ads — Offline Conversions (gclid)
- Meta — Conversions API / CAPI (fbclid)
- TikTok — Events API (ttclid)
Failed dispatches are retried with exponential backoff. The dashboard shows real-time status of all dispatched conversions.
3. Data Flow
4. Supported Platforms
Tagger receives conversion webhooks from 13 pre-configured affiliate and sales platforms:
Hotmart, ClickBank, BuyGoods, MaxWeb, AdCombo, SmartADV, Webvork, Dr.Cash, Digistore24, TerraLeads, GiantMobi, Kiwify, Braip, Eduzz — plus unlimited custom platforms via configurable webhook mapping.
5. Privacy & Security
- No PII stored in plaintext: IP addresses and User-Agent strings are SHA-256 hashed with a per-tenant salt before storage — irreversible
- No cookies: The tracking script uses zero cookies and zero browser storage
- Multi-tenant isolation: Each advertiser's data is strictly isolated at the database level
- Encryption: All credentials encrypted at rest (Fernet/AES); all traffic encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+)
- GDPR / LGPD / PDPA compatible: Privacy by design, data minimization, right to deletion
